DJ Khaled played host to the 2023 We The Best Foundation X Jordan Brand Golf Classic on July 20th, held at the beautiful Miami Beach Golf Club.
Numerous stars graced the event, either taking part in the golf action or offering their support from the sidelines. Among those in attendance were Sean “Diddy” Combs, who generously donated $150,000 on behalf of the Sean Combs Foundation. Other notable figures included Serena Williams, Odell Beckham Jr, Quavo, Timbaland, Fat Joe, Ja Rule, Bubba Watson, Bubba Wallace, Cedric the Entertainer, Jalen Rose, The Dream, Mina Harigae, Shannon Sharpe, Cris Carter, Terrell Owens, Pat Perez, Marcus Jordan, Jeffrey Jordan, and Hassan Whiteside, among many others.
To kick off the event, Khaled and event partner Snipes presented a significant donation of $20,000 to Fore Life, a remarkable non-profit organization that utilizes the game of golf to empower vulnerable youth, instilling them with essential character-building skills to thrive and achieve success. Additionally, a commendable $10,000 check was also given to Circle of Brotherhood, a Miami-based organization primarily composed of Black men from diverse backgrounds, united in their dedication to community service, economic development, crime prevention, conflict resolution, educational services, and youth mentorship.
At 9:30 am, participating golfers took to the fairway for the We The Best Foundation X Jordan Brand Golf Classic. The tournament commenced with a shotgun tee-off, and the players engaged in a scramble-style format, showcasing their skills until the event concluded. An exciting awards ceremony awaited the participants, which featured an exclusive DJ set performed by the talented Swizz Beatz.
Before the golf action started, DJ Khaled set the celebratory tone on Wednesday evening with a grand We The Best Foundation X Jordan Brand cocktail party and dinner at SWAN in Miami. The gathering was attended by esteemed guests of the Golf Classic.
During the evening, a captivating silent auction took place, offering a plethora of unique and coveted collector’s items. Attendees had the opportunity to bid on prized possessions such as a basketball signed by Michael Jordan, a jersey signed by Earl Campbell, a limited-edition Cincoro Founder’s Series tequila bottle, a helmet autographed by Tom Brady, a baseball signed by the 2022 Astros World Series team, a print and jersey signed by Steph Curry, and a rare chance to play a round of golf with none other than DJ Khaled himself, among other fantastic items. It was an evening filled with excitement and philanthropy as participants vied for these extraordinary pieces while supporting the foundation’s noble causes.
