Reports suggest that Jay-Z is considering taking ownership of Tottenham Hotspur F.C. in light of legal issues surrounding current owner, British billionaire Joe Lewis. Lewis, with a net worth of $6.1 billion, has been charged with multiple counts of security fraud and conspiracy related to insider trading and false filings with the United States Securities and Exchange Commission between 2013 and 2021.
Facing the charges, Lewis has pleaded not guilty and plans to vigorously defend himself in court, according to his lawyer. However, in the event of a conviction, Jay-Z, whose net worth is estimated at $2.5 billion, could potentially join an ownership group that includes American investors, aiming to acquire the football club.
